Hello, I am Joni. and as a movement specialist with over a decade of experience in teaching embodiment, dance, and yoga, I invite you to join me on a journey of awakening to your true potential. Together, we will explore the power and wisdom of the body, unlocking its innate abilities for a healthier, more authentic, and meaningful life.
In my classes, I cultivate a gentle, fun, and creative environment. As a life coach and a Somatics practitioner, I embrace a person-centered and holistic approach to health. Whether we work one-on-one or in a group setting, I believe in nurturing all aspects of mental, physical, and emotional well-being. My aim is to allow you to truly inhabit your body by learning to slow down, cultivate curiosity, and embrace a sense of ease in a safe, grounded, and joyful manner.
I firmly believe in the transformative power of yoga and movement. Personally, I have experienced the stability that embodied practices bring. It is my hope to inspire you to discover your own unique creative expression, one that grounds you and effectively harnesses your energy. By doing so, you can experience greater ease, comfort, and joy in your life.
Qualifications include 500+RYT Yoga Teacher Training from Seasonal Yoga Glasgow (2017-2019). Including Trauma-informed Yoga for Children (YogaEd, 2020), Yin Yoga (Seasonal Yoga, 2021), Yoga for Pregnancy and Mother and Baby Yoga (Nurture Yoga, 2020), and Yoga for Children (Little Greene Yoga, 2017).
I am an ICF accredited Embodiment Life Coach (2024)
I have extensive training in Qigong, Body Mind Centring and Contact Improvisation.
I hold an MA in Art and Social Practice from University Highlands and Islands (2021- 2023). Additionally, I possess a BA (Honours) in Choreography with Community Practices from Dartington College of Arts, Devon ( 2008-2011).
In the realm of holistic wellness, I am a Holistic Massage Therapist with an ITEC DIPHM Holistic Massage (2006).
